I feel so blessed to have this girl in my life!
I am really looking forward to having her be a part of my wedding and more importantly being my Matron of Honor! That sounds so much fancier than Maid of Honor! Leah has already been married for almost four years now. I am already awaiting the day when I get to babysit her and Eric's first child!
Leah and I have known each other sense freshman year of highschool. We didn't hit it off right away, but you know how silly highschoolers can be. After bonding in Spanish Class & Biology we quickly became great friends! We even went to the same community college our first two years. I can vividly remember sitting in the Sky Valley Parking lot waiting for Leah to pull up in her BIG blue truck so we could carpool out to Everett!
Now that we are all grown up we don't see each other as much, but you may on occasion, find us cooking/eating, watching the Food Network or Reality TV, eating Molly Moon ice cream and reminicing about our silly years in High School together, Lake Wenatchee, LFO and much much more.
Thank you for inviting me to your home so much, even if my first instinct is to make a beeline for your incredibly soft couches :) I love you Leah Schoonover and I am so excited for you to stand up there with me on my BIG day!
For those of you less fortunate to know who LFO was.

Last night I hung out with the girls after work and went to dinner. On my way home, I called My Fiance to see what he was up to.
Me: “Hey babe, where are you?”
Flyn: “Oh…I am just driving, got some dinner.”
Me: “Oh nice, what did you get?”
Flyn: “Oh don’t worry about it….. It’s gourmet food.”
Me: “You went to McDonalds didn’t you?”
Flyn: “What’s that babe, I can’t really hear you anymore, its breaking up. Just come on over!”
I later found out that he had originally gone to QFC to get some food and was STARVING, but on his way home he saw a man on the side of the road that looked like he might be hungry So, after a few attempts at trying to pull over and find the guy, he gave this man his chicken and jojos.
He is so generous!
Anyways, afterwords he was still really hungy and felt like Jesus said he could go to Mcdonalds for being so humble. I love when Jesus tells you that! :)
I think he felt a little guilty of it when I asked him where he ate. So, babe, this one is one me.

I had a wonderful time out at Whidbey Island this past weekend.
Our hosts were SO accomodating. They welcomed us into their beautiful home, cooked for us all weekend and made sure that it was relaxing as possible.
We arrived on Friday night, the group was pretty tired from the long week and trek over, so we called it a night pretty early. The next morning the guys got up around 6:30 to go salmon fishing. My man caught THREE fish!
After a long morning of relaxing and eating breakfast, the ladies and I headed out to the Saturday markets and a cute little chocolate shop in Langley. (which grows real flowers that smell like chocolate. Not sure how I feel about this.) Later that afternoon I tried my hand at fishing a little but didn't catch anything.
We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Thank you Chuck & Joanne for your hospitality!

Thank you for Fridays!
My fiance and I got invited to spend the weekend at our friend's cabin on Whidbey Island! My plan is to get some good sleep, go fishing, eat and just relax. That is if I can manage to not wake up at 4am stressing over which bridesmaid dress to choose or what color flowers I am going to have! Believe me it has happened more than once.
I finally found a recipie to use up the rest of the blueberries that were inhabiting my freezer. I made blueberry cobbler last night for our small group. It was alright. I think it could of had more substance to it. One of the few recipies from Pioneer Woman that I have not been 100% happy about. But that was probably my fault. ( I did substitute blueberries for the blackberries which could have made a big difference).
I know this is kind of a random post but I also wanted to mention Mama's Mexican Kitchen . A few of my coworkers and I went there yesterday for some happy hour food after work. The service is not stellar but the prices are pretty decent and the food is good! I would def recommend it if you are in the area.

Consider this your steal of the week and one of my favorite cheap date spots to go in
I ran across The Crest back in college when money was scarce and we were always looking for something fun to do on a Friday night.
It only cost $3.00!!!!
Yup, you heard me right.
* The catch is, they play movies that have been out in the theatres for a while and are not considered “New” anymore. It’s a great deal if you can just wait a month or so for that movie you have been dieing to see! Well worth it.
Parking is Free. The concessions stand is cheap and you will most likely be the youngest couple/person in the theatre, but that is okay by me.

I know this is a little early for Fall but this recipie is abslutely delicisous and I had to share it. Don't let the beer scare you. It helps make the bread really moist.
I would also recommend putting chocolate chips in one of the loaves.
Or both.
